Ginny took pride in her work and enjoyed the connections she made with people throughout her life.
Virginia “Ginny” Elinor Hinrichsen (Pettengell) passed away at the age of 79. She was born on Valentine’s Day in 1947 in Sonoma, California, and later made her home in Esparto.
Ginny was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim Hinrichsen, who passed away in 2023, her bother Walter and Sister Rynell, her father Herbert Pettengill, and her mother Elinor Biggs.
She is survived by her two sons, Eric (Kira), his children Rachel, Courtney, Jacob, Ryan, and Kylie, and seven great grandchildren, and Jimmy (Lisa), his children Carsten and Lily, her sister, Rosalind (Philip), and her best friend Renee Harmond.
Ginny worked in hospitality services, including the Kalico Kat in Woodland, CA that was owned by her mother. She took pride in her work and enjoyed the connections she made with people throughout her life. She also loved traveling with family and friends and treasured the time spent with those closest to her.

A graveside ceremony will take place on July 28th at 1:30 (please arrive 20 minutes early) at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620.
