Robert Martinez, Sr

Bobby Martinez, Sr. passed away Sat. Aug. 23rd, 2014 at home in Winters. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Charlie"; children, Rachel (Cesar), Bobby, Jr. (Beth) and Ryan Martinez; grandsons, Marco, Jace & Aidan; mother, Nancy Rivard; sister, Virginia Neese; Niece, Danielle Lizarraga (Emilio); best friend, Mike (Margie) Lowrie and many other friends and family members.
Bobby was born in Woodland and was a lifelong resident of Yolo County. He worked at American Home Foods in Vacaville, retiring after 29 years as a Seamer Mechanic. He was very close with his co-workers, who referred to him as "The Mayor". In 1998, he went to work for his best friend, Mike, at Lowrie Trucking in Dixon. He loved riding his motorcycle, trips to the mountains and the beach, parties and visiting with friends. Bob was a big-hearted and honorable man. He loved his friends and family and had an uncanny knack for remembering all the birthdays and relations in the family. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 12 Noon at the parish hall at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Winters. Burial and graveside services will be held on Friday, Aug 29th at Winters Cemetery at 10:00 A.M.
