Patricia Jean Colenzo
Patricia Colenzo passed away peacfully on January 3, 2023 at the age of 80, in Vacaville, California. She is survived by her husband: Salvatore (Sam) Colenzo of 52 years, children: Karin Seis (Richard), Kenneth Colenzo (Elizabeth), Kristi Colenzo, grandchildren: Jonathan and Samantha Seis, Madeline Shull, Liliana Colenzo, sister Kathy (Terry) Pituch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Genevive Posney and sister Barbara Cusick.
Patricia was born in New Kensington PA as the oldest of three girls to Charles and Genevive Posney. She moved to Davis California after marriage to husband Sam in 1970. She was a Registered Nurse RN, graduated with a BSED from Indiana University of Pensylvania, in 1964. She worked as a child birth educator, was a Lamaze instructor, worked as a playground supervisor for the Davis Unified School District, was active in various ministries at St. James Parish where she served for many years as a marriage and baptism coordinator. She was a girl scout leader, had many years of community outreach as a volunteer, and above all, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed traveling, attending stage plays, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
There will be a viewing at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B Street in Davis on Friday, January 13th from 5-7 pm followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 PM.
The funeral service will take place at St. James Church located at 1275 B Street in Davis on Saturday, January 14th at 12 Noon, followed by a Celebration of Life reception.
The Catholic Rite of Committal will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetary 5810 Midway Rd. in Dixon on Monday, January 16th at 10:30 am.
Donations can be made to St. James Church, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
