Gladys Evelyn Gulick of Davis, CA, died Saturday December 29, 2007 of natural causes. She was born September 23, 1921 in Springfield, Illinois to Harry and Bernice Paxton. The family moved to Benton Indiana where she grew up, and later met her husband of sixty-two years Phil Gulick. He was playing in a band prior to WWII when they met.
Evelyn and Phil moved to Anaheim, California in 1955. She worked as an electronics assembler before retiring and moving to Davis in October 1983. While in Davis, she enjoyed her grandchildren, playing bridge, sing-a-long at the senior center, and doing crafts and sewing.
Evelyn is survived by her children:, Ronald and his wife Linda Gulick of Tracy, Ca. and Jacqueline and her husband Ron Allen of Davis, Ca.; sister, Elma Dean Myers of New Paris, Indiana; Grandchildren: Scott Gulick of Redding, Ca., Kristine Pedroza of Mountain House Ca., Cindy Manglona of Tracy Ca., Martha Macias of Dublin Ca. Curtis Asby of Fair Oaks, Ca., Ryan Allen of Davis, Ca. and 12 Great Grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wiscombes Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D Street in Davis. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. at Wiscombes Davis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery; 820 Pole Line Road.
