On February 12, 2011 Dwain passed away peacefully at home. He was born in Nebraska in 1922 and moved to California as a young man. He had lived in Davis for 44 years.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, sisters Bonnie Husman and Elaine Dillard, daughters Kathi Gray(Herb) Louain Brinkman and Christy Ansbro, stepsons Tim Hooper(Susan) and Tom Hooper(Donna). Also surviving are several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, as well as 6 nieces and nephews.

He served in the US Navy during World War II and had a long career as a gas service man for PG&E.

He was a lifetime avid baseball enthusiast, playing semi-pro ball in his youth.

In retirement he was instrumental in the organization of Our Faith Lutheran Church here in Davis, as well as supervising the construction of the building itself. He also enjoyed traveling in his RV, dancing and playing horse shoes.

He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Our Faith Lutheran Church, 1801 Oak Ave on Saturday February 19, 2011 at 1 PM Private internment will be held at a later date.
