Dennis Whitcomb

Dennis B. Whitcomb , survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Sharon Whitcomb, children Dennis J. (Trish), Jonathan and Julie, grandsons Jonathan, Thomas and Tyler, great-grandson Lucas, brother David Whitcomb, sisters Carolyn (Mike) McKone, and Kathleen Hunter, and brother-in-law Jeffrey (Nina) Duket. Dennis was a graduate of Norte Del Rio High School. A builder by trade, Dennis was known to be able to craft, build or fix anything. During his long career in the building industry, Dennis was the recipient of numerous awards for his leadership and volunteer work. He built thousands of homes in the Sacramento area, including the beautiful Cameron Park estate home where he and Sharon raised their family and entertained their many friends and family. Dennis touched the lives of many family, friends and co-workers and will be remembered for his humor, kindness and generosity. Memories of their many adventures with their "Bonka" will be especially cherished by his grandsons. A celebration of Dennis' life will be postponed until it is safer for friends and family to gather. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Habitat for Humanity or your favorite charity.
