When we moved to California from Maryland 15 years ago with 3 very reluctant teenager sons and one elementary school aged daughter, Vickie came to our door bearing homemade jam and welcomed us. Her pretty face and that kind gesture meant so much to me at a time when I felt very alone. Eight years later, our daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. I sent a letter to all our friends, relatives and neighbors asking for contributions to Crohn's research. Vickie wrote back with a very generous check saying, "When one family's child in the neighborhood is sick, everyone's child is sick." I cry as I recall how beautiful that sentiment was then and will always be to us. Vicki was a beautiful lady who made the world a more beautiful place. Her beauty shone within and without. . Dear Joe and Jennifer, I considered Vicki one of my best friends...and although we could only connect every once in awhile...we could always pick-up right where we left off. We shared stories about our families and how much we love them. Please come to 42nd on the 4th of July. Love, Sandi

Dear Joe and Family, We have all been so shocked and saddened at the passing of Vicki. After so many years of serving Vicki and CICPP it will never be the same without her. We search our hearts trying to find words of comfort knowing that words are often hollow but we can pray for your peace, comfort and blessings from God in this difficult time. God Bless you. Dear Joe, Ross and I were so sad to hear the news about Vicki. We loved having you both over for the 4th of July on 42nd Street...your invitation is alway open! Vicki's talents were so creative and amazing! We still have the door wreaths she made us for our wedding (one for each season). That was 13 years ago! And just recently she made the cutest pair of sandals for my mom and me. Our thoughts are with you and your entire family. Love, Jamie & Ross Arno
