Steven Henry Lederer, 48, of Sacramento, California, formerly of Davis, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Sutter General Hospital.

Steven was born September 19, 1959 in Sacramento to Albert and Mildred Lederer. He attended Chico State, earning a Bachelors degree in Agriculture Engineering. Steven worked for Walgreen Distribution Warehouse in Woodland for 7 years, where he made a large group of friends. He was an avid golfer, who took a class to improve his swing and drove around with golf clubs in the back of his truck. Steven was a referee for peewee junior football league, traveling from the Bay area to Modesto and the Foothills for games.

Stevens parents, Mildred and Arthur Lederer have gone before him to the arms of the Lord.

Steven is survived by his wife, Sheila, married only 2 years this May; he had no children of his own, but had taken in and loved Sheila's children as his own; Philip, Chantelle and Daniel, and Chantelle's young son Mikeal; five Sisters: Pauline Emmert, Carole Gaeta, Barbara Aquirre, Cathy Glaeser and Janet Lawson.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. and Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Wiscombes Davis Funeral Chapel, 116 D Street, Davis, CA. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. also at Wiscombes Davis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery.
