Serafino Rossi

Serafino Rossi, 92, of Davis, passed away September 27, 2011, just three weeks prior to his 93rd birthday. He had been an area resident for 14 years. Serf was born October 11, 1918 in Lafayette, California to Mary and Serafino Rossi. He will be remembered as the man who was always riding his double wide candy apple red mobility scooter around the Davis area. Serf enjoyed taking long drives in all of the cars he owned throughout his life. One of his greatest pleasures in life was taking his clean car on a long road trip. Many in the Lafayette, Orinda, Walnut Creek area will remember serf as a skilled furniture refinisher. Serf, along with his two brothers, Angelo and Frank, owned and operated Rossi Brothers Furniture Business in Lafayette for over 30 years. Serf was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Jacque. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Rossi; granddaughter, Angela Thompson and brother, Angelo Rossi. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 11:00 at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B Street in Davis. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery.
