Dick Mackey was a family friend as far back as my memory goes. I had the pleasure to know him throughout the years. He was a good man who served the students of Davis well.

My prayers go out to Eleanor and all of the family for their loss. Please know that even though Richard is resting now and has returned to dust (Genesis 3:19), Jehovah God does promise a resurrection (Acts 24:15 & John 5:28,29). Again, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.

I was one of the many students that was fortunate enough to have been in Mr. Mackey's 4th grade class. He was a kind and wonderful teacher. I was deeply sadden to learn of his passing. He will always be one of my most favorite teachers.

Mr. Mackey was one of my all time favorite teachers. I believe he was my 4th grade teacher and I will never forget his patience and steady way he guided his students through the wonderful path to a solid education. I am a better person because of his work and I will never forget his influence on so many children's lives. Thank you Mr. Mackey and God bless you!
