Our mother was born December 20, 1933 in Denver Colorado to Elizabeth and Wayne Ofstad. Margery was an only child and quickly learned the benefit of being born into an Italian Family. Educated in Denver and graduated from Loretto Heights. She went to business school to become a secretary. Along the journey Margery met her husband, Edwin E. Holt, until his death. They were married for 48 years, she had three children: Susan Holt-Nickerson, Thomas C. Holt, and Sally Ann Holt (deceased). Three grandchildren: Alison E. Nickerson, Matthew E. Nickerson and Julie A. Nickerson. Margery became a great grandmother to Riley Marie Greer this year. She loved to share a story, chuckle and a smoke with a friend. Margery loved to play Bridge with her mother, garden her yard and watch home shopping. She was passionate about her faith and gave abundantly to Boys Town and Christo Rey High School which she believed, along with her husband that education was the key to success. We, the family are forever grateful to the City of Davis to all the support of our business of over 40 years. We are so appreciative of all the Doctors and Nurses that we met and helped us along the journey but most of all we are grateful to all our friends of all their unwavering support during this time. We loved our mother and our father and are the best we can be because of them.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Margerys name to Christo Rey High School; 6200 McMahon Street; Sacramento, CA 95824 (916-400-3404).

Such sadness to read about the passing of Marge...she was such a class act with a huge smile always. She will be missed. Our whole family loved her and especially my grandmother. We are thinking of you and hoping that all the memories of your mom will sustain you.

Wow........as the saying goes..... too fast, too soon. Marg was such a fantastic person and friend to me. I so will miss her little smile and wink of her eye! Her many silver chains and silver braclets she wore, and adored. She loved to chew gum, and so seemed to enjoy it! We had many talks either prior to Mass, after or at the Women's Guild meeting. This I will truly miss, not having the interaction with her. She will be missed by many who loved and admired her. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family... Betty Paro
