Katherine Fox

Katherine Fox, age 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. She is survived by her loving partner and devoted wife, Stefanie Oppenheim, and her brother, Louis Fox. She was Aunt Kat to Ariel Fox, Cole Fox and Chandler Fox. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Bass Fox, father, Bernard Fox and sister, Ricia Fox. Katherine was born in Houston, Texas where she spent her early life. She later moved to Los Angeles with her parents and graduated from Hamilton Highschool. She completed a B.S. in business at California State University, Chico. Katherine was a Davis resident for 25 years. She was a Yolo County mediator and was active in the Davis Downtown Business Association while practicing clinical hypnotherapy for 15 years. Katherine had an e-commerce business promoting women's sports memorabilia, primarily for the WNBA. She was an avid supporter of women and gay rights, and enjoyed art and traveling. Her spiritual connection with those who knew her best will be cherished and remembered always. Her courage and belief in the power of positive thinking helped her live a longer, joyful life. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Stonegate Country Club, 919 Lake Blvd. in Davis.
