Dennis Whitcomb

Dennis B. Whitcomb , survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Sharon Whitcomb, children Dennis J. (Trish), Jonathan and Julie, grandsons Jonathan, Thomas and Tyler, great-grandson Lucas, brother David Whitcomb, sisters Carolyn (Mike) McKone, and Kathleen Hunter, and brother-in-law Jeffrey (Nina) Duket. Dennis was a graduate of Norte Del Rio High School. A builder by trade, Dennis was known to be able to craft, build or fix anything. During his long career in the building industry, Dennis was the recipient of numerous awards for his leadership and volunteer work. He built thousands of homes in the Sacramento area, including the beautiful Cameron Park estate home where he and Sharon raised their family and entertained their many friends and family. Dennis touched the lives of many family, friends and co-workers and will be remembered for his humor, kindness and generosity. Memories of their many adventures with their "Bonka" will be especially cherished by his grandsons. A celebration of Dennis' life will be postponed until it is safer for friends and family to gather. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Habitat for Humanity or your favorite charity.

Guestbook

Dennis was a tremendous help to me in my life and career. His work ethic and calm manner were truly inspirational through some stressful work times as I recall - not to mention his help to me in my personal life. Dennis was without a doubt unlike any other friend Ive had in my life.

Dennis was the kindest and most humorous person Ive ever met. His love and devotion to Sharon and to all his children and grandchildren was a joy to witness. We have so many wonderful memories of Denny that we will keep forever in our hearts. Love Cousin Dee and family.

I only met him once, but I can say that he was a handsome, witty man with a sparkle in his eye. It is no doubt that this is where his sons, and grandsons get this from. We send our love and prayers to all of his family. And may they all remember the memories they had with him. Love, Sukeshi, Chuck, Bella, and Charlie ONeal
