Betty graduated from Davis High School and was a founding member of Pole Line Road Baptist Church. In her younger years she enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid Elvis fan. She lived for a time in the bay area with her then husband Ronald Wentz. She moved back to Davis in 1982 to be near her family. Betty retired from the University of California Davis after working in the Undergrad Admissions Department for 17 years. Her passions included bible study and gardening.
Betty is survived by her brothers, Alvin Lucas of Davis and Donald Lucas of Copperpolis, and by her daughter Courtney Wentz of El Cerrito.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Pole Line Road Baptist Church to celebrate her life.
Although I never got to meet Betty face to face, her love, faith, and prayers changed my life and the life of my family. To have known her only through on line communication has been one of the greatest blessing in my life. She will be missed.

What a priviledge it was to see our Saviour through Betty's surrendered, obedient life!
